Refund and Return Policy for Build It Yourself Kits

At BuildItYourselfKits.ca, we want you to be happy with your project. Because we offer both digital and physical products, our policies vary by item type:

Digital Images and Files Non-Refundable: Due to the nature of digital content, all sales of digital images and downloadable files are final once the download link has been sent or accessed.

Technical Issues: If you experience trouble downloading or opening your files, please contact us at [email protected], and we will ensure you receive a working copy.

Physical Scaled Models and Kits Return Window: You have 30 days from the date of delivery to request a return for physical items.
Condition: To be eligible for a return, your model kit must be unused, in the same condition that you received it, and in its original packaging.

Damaged or Incomplete Items: If your kit arrives damaged or is missing parts, contact us immediately. We will ship out replacement components or a new kit at no additional cost to you.

How to Start a Return
To initiate a return for a physical product, please email [email protected] with your order number and the reason for the return. We will provide you with instructions on where to send your package.

Refunds
Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. Approved refunds will be processed back to your original payment method (Stripe or PayPal) within 5-10 business days.
Note: Shipping costs for returning non-damaged items are the responsibility of the customer.

Shipping Costs & Restocking Fees
Return Shipping: For “change of mind” returns, customers are responsible for paying their own shipping costs for returning the item. Shipping costs from the original purchase are non-refundable.
Restocking Fee: A 15% restocking fee will be deducted from your refund for all returned physical kits to cover inspection and repackaging. This fee is waived if the return is due to a manufacturing defect or shipping damage.
